GST billing and stock, from the same counter
Most shops keep three things that disagree: a bill book, a stock register and a diary of who still owes money. One sale should write all three. Raise the invoice and the tax, the stock and the party's balance follow from it.

What Sales & Stock does
The tax splits itself
CGST and SGST inside your own state, IGST outside it, worked out from the place of supply rather than from a dropdown somebody has to remember.
Stock moves with the bill
Down on a sale, up on a purchase, with what is left and what is below its reorder level on the same page. No separate stock entry to forget.
A counter sale settles itself
Cash at the till is recorded with the bill, so the customer does not stay on your list of people who owe you money.
Barcodes, scanned and printed
Scan at the counter to add a line. Print shelf labels for what you already stock, on a thermal roll or a sheet.
Who owes you, and whom you owe
Every party carries a running balance from their own bills and payments, so "call the ones over thirty days" is a list rather than an afternoon.
The month's tax position, already added up
Output tax, input credit and what is left over, by head. The figures a return is built from, ready before you sit down to file.
Who it is for
Kirana and retail counters, wholesalers and distributors, hardware and electronics shops, chemists, and any small business raising GST invoices against stock it keeps.
Questions
- Does it file my GST return?
- No, and it does not pretend to. It keeps the invoices and adds up output tax, input credit and the net position by head — the figures a return is built from. The filing itself is done on the portal or by your accountant.
- Does stock update on its own?
- Yes. A sale takes the quantity out and a purchase puts it back, on the same entry as the bill. Cancelling a bill returns what it moved.
- Can I use a barcode scanner?
- Any scanner that types, which is nearly all of them. Scanning adds the item to the bill. Labels for your own shelves print from the same page.
- Will it print on my thermal printer?
- An 80mm or 58mm receipt, or an A4 or A5 invoice. Your shop name, address and registration number sit on all of them.
- I sell outside my state as well.
- Then those bills are IGST and the ones inside are CGST plus SGST, decided by the place of supply on each invoice rather than by a setting.
